Brantley's Studio - Mike Brantley - Nashville, NC - Portraits, Weddings, Seniors, Children, Family, Business, Brides, Engagement, Commercial, FineArt
About
Mike & Kristi Brantley love what they do, making photographs that capture and preserve a specific time in history. This is art that captures not only the beauty of the subject or subjects, but their personalities. Pablo Picasso made a comment once that has served as an inspiration for us, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
The Brantleys have been in business since 1996 and offer a full range of photographic services including portraits, fine art, commercial photography, restorations, oils and public relations photographs. There is also a full service frame shop on site. While the studio has clients all across North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina, our primary area includes Nashville, Rocky Mount, Wilson, Raleigh, Tarboro, Greenville and Spring Hope.
In 2011, the studio moved to a historic building (circa 1913) on Washington Street in the heart of downtown Nashville. There are long range plans to restore the interior completely and increase the offerings to include more books and art.
Mike Brantley earned his Masters of Photography in 2008 and his Craftsman designation in 2007. He is an award-winning Certified Professional Photographer and a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC) and the Southeastern Professional Photographers of America (SEPPA).
Among his awards are Best of Show at PPNC, 3 Fuji Masterpiece Awards, 3 Distinguished Awards (SEPPA), as well as numerous North Carolina Loan Collection and first place awards. Honors have come from portraits of children, commercial photography, photographic illustrations, women, men, animals and fine art. Prints were selected in 2004 & 2005 for publication by PPA.
In 2006, he was chosen as one of the N.C. Photographers of the Year by PPA. PPNC awarded him its Fellowship Degree in 2001 and he served as President in 2007. In addition, Mike earned his M.A. in English in 2012 from East Carolina University and is pursuing an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Queens University. His work has been published in national and regional magazines and journals, and he also teaches college English.
Kristi Brantley is a photographer and artist. Kristi photographs at weddings and events and is the professional album designer for both families and brides.
Margie Brantley works in production, sales and customer service.
All photographs are produced on archival papers and designed to last for generations.
The studio can also be found on Facebook, where updates, specials and news can most often be found.
